The results are in! Michael Phelps has outdone Paris Hilton in popularity here on ADDer World, not only in site visits, but also in emails I have received regarding an article in which at least one of them was the focus. I have written more about Paris Hilton, so kudos to Michael.
We could say that the Olympics helped Michael shoot to the top of the search engines recently and we would be right. Paris Hilton has become a fixture, so it remains to be seen which one will be longer in the spotlight. I am betting on Paris Hilton at the moment. Don’t get me wrong, I like Michael and I agree that what he has done is beyond phenomenal, but he isn’t exactly the type to become daily media fodder like Paris Hilton is.
When I wrote about Paris Hilton and her situation with ADD a while ago ADDer World was flooded and slowed down with page hits, it was to the point I didn’t know if I could keep the article up or not because it was slowing down page loads that much. That article was posted just after Paris got out of jail and everyone wanted to know about her and ADD. The page hits for Michael Phelps and the article I wrote about him and Hyper Focusing dwarfed the amount of page hits ADDer World received for Paris’ article. Thanks to some upgrades I didn’t have such a problem with traffic this time. You really can reach millions of people via blogs!
Something else unique happened with the article I wrote about concerning Michael, it was one of the first on the net discussing his Hyper Focus, now there are tons of articles, many which directly quote from my article. Not just bloggers either, I saw it in the mainstream media too – no, I won’t mention which ones, I am the little guy remember? So he says with a slight snicker of amusement.
To those writing me emails asking for more information concerning Hyper Focus, please, read my Memoir and read more of my articles here on ADDer World. I will be writing more concerning Hyper Focus, stay tuned.
Oh and by the way, this just goes to show that the more
popular page hits was for positive exposure! I haven’t given up on Paris, she will become a positive influence and be a great spokesperson for ADHD… eventually, I am sure… yeah? Hey, she’s awesome in her own right… be sure to read my article about her to understand why I hold this to be true.

Hey Brian.
Very interesting. How do you keep up with all of this though? Are you sure you really have ADD?
Steve
Bryan just wants to interview Paris. It would be way better than a dude in a speedo.
lol – good point Chris! It’s all fun and games until… Actually, even though Steve is kidding around, he brought up a good point and it’s not new, so I thought I would take a moment to write an article about it. Yes, Steve, I know you are kidding, and yet there are those who have not read my book and don’t know the rest of the story as you do. Therefore, we have today’s article on perception:
